Regarding used sports equipment for kids-our family is involved in youth hockey. We've learned that it is preferable to lease some equipment, others are best to buy used, and some SHOULD be bought new, striking a balance between quality and value. Kids are always outgrowing stuff, there is always equipment floating around! However, the list of what is best to get where changes as the kids get older. Sometimes the best investment in safety is buying new.

It's hard to not eat out especially when you're busy with a job. I know a lot of people use their crockpots or if at home, start dinner early in the day. I think that's how we made do in the old days...just start early. :)

Just discovered this website. It will be one of my favorites. Thanks!

Sure. Use the same recipe and replace the peanut butter with almond butter or sesame butter.

Failing that, try a google search. I got the following results:

The absolute easiest way I know to preserve herbs is this...

Take your fresh herbs and remove the leaves from the stems. That can be easily done by running your fingers down the stem; the leaves will just pop off!

Place the leaves loosely in a plastic bag. Freeze until solid. Once they are frozen, pack the leaves down in the bag. Rub the bag back and forth a few times in your hand, and the leaves are now chopped! (Don't overdo it or you'll thaw them, then refreezing will give you a huge mass that's more work to break up.)

I also freeze grated lemon and orange peel the same way--by placing loosely in a plastic bag until frozen, then packing it down. Works great!

I have my lazy way for freezing fresh herbs! I just freeze them whole in a plastic container. When I need them I cut them frozen with my kitchen scissors directly in a pot. Works like a charm!

Thank you so much for the tip on freezing herbs! I can't tell you how many times I've thrown away unused herbs because I wasn't able to use them all. This is such a great money saving tip.

Does anyone know the recipe for no-bake cookies very much like the above recipe except w/o peanut butter? My mother used to make them and although I once had the recipe I can no longer find it.

Sara, I found the 30 min. chicken noodle soup recipe in taste of home. Please look no further. Thank you so much for your concern, and thank you for the Fagioll soup. It was delicious. CM
